Deactivation of laccase enzyme Laccase enzyme has been deactivated under various combinations of pH and temperature as discussed in Section 2 (Fig. 3). The deactivation process is found to be faster at very low pH. It was also observed that at higher temperatures the deactivation occurs slowly. Protein degradation reactions at high temperature occur slowly only in conformationally intact proteins, implying that the structural conformation of the protein dictates upper temperature limit for enzyme activity [14].
