This research conducted the t-test for the knowledge management method, new product development strategy, new product development performance and industrial characteristic and enterprise scale.
4.1. The relation between the KM method and NPD performance
According to our observations, for the overall average value, the enterprises were divided into two groups; “good operational knowledge management operational capability” and “poor knowledge management method operational capability”. We also conduct a t-test for new product development performance. As indicated in Table 2, enterprises with good knowledge management operational capability achieved substantial results in new product development performance. A P-value of 0.01 means that the knowledge management method played a significant role in the overall new product development performance. Consequently, the research result favored Hypothesis H1, the stronger the knowledge management method, the higher the new product development performance.
