The incidence of caesarean section among the elderly
primigravidae was higher than among the younger group.
This is similar to the series reported from other centres
(Bell JS et al., 2001; Cleary-Goldman et al., 2005; .

and perinatal morbidity and mortality has made the
routine recommendation of elective caesarean section for
