As of today the bonus scheme is scrapped for all office staff.
As I have said many times my aim has been to keep the staff as low as possible and then staff can be rewarded. As it comes to light I will have to employ at least one more member of staff for the office. This was not in the plan and again as I have said previously if we have to do this without good reason then obviously the money has to come from somewhere. Our production is not high this year and not expected to improve until middle of next year, we are also finding our prices are cut with what the UK give us although good saving’s by purchasing and improved efficiency helps offset this cost.
I will continue to do my best to continue the policy of improving welfare and the factory as a whole and as the production staff have shown especially in the last few months how much they are willing to help and adapt their working arrangements unfortunately this is not shared in the office which is a bigger disappointment to me as we bring in a new computer system to help make everyone’s job easier.
Office staff bonus is now under review along with any pay review. Presently production remains unchanged and they will receive bonus and pay review as previously discussed.
I have sent this to the management committee only and I expect you to discuss with your staff also highlighting the reason for the change.
This does not mean office staff will receive no bonus or pay review but it may be less than production staff and done on an individual basis.
