trust has been empirically supported as an antecedent of satisfaction but only in certain contexts (Harris and Goode 2004), a consequence of satisfaction (Flavian, Guinaliu, and Gurrea 2006), a moderator of the satisfaction to loyalty relationship (Anderson and Srinivasan 2003), and a joint predictor of e-loyalty (Cyr 2008). A closer examination of several of these studies helps to illuminate some of the differences and how they relate to the present research.
