As conversation often is minimized in a nightclub due to higher tempo and usually a very loud environment, it is crucial that you as a nightclub bartender are more clear and focused. You need to speak more with your body i.e. use a proud body language that speaks of confidence and knowledge because your guests cannot hear much what you say so they need to see that you know what you are doing.
– Find out needs and then wants
Know the difference between needs and wants. A need can be the need of just drinking while a want can be the want of drinking a nice glass of single malt Whisky.
When you have established the needs and wants of your guest you have the necessary information to recommend the right choice that will suit him or her best. This is a very useful technique/skill that will greatly improve the success rate of your sales and in turn your guest will be happy. In general your tips will increase with satisfied guests.
