The correlation coefficient (r2) was one of the primary
criteria to select the best model to account for variation
in the drying curves of dried samples. In addition to r2,
the statistical parameter such as the reduced chi-square
(v2) was used to determine the quality of the fit. The
higher the value of r2, lower v2, which were chosen as the
criteria for goodness of fit (Ozdemir & Devres, 1999;
Yaldiz et al., 2001). Chi-square (v2) can be calculated as
