Partly to gain insights into some of issues discussed above, several review studies of TeLL have been undertaken. The studies reviewed largely acknowledged limited generalizability of findings due to the nature of the research, while documenting overall favorable attitudes of users towards technology use. Reported enthusiasm aside, for effective technology-mediated language learning to occur, many language educators stress the need to "select and match tool to task" .While discussion of these and other issues is welcome, the multiplication and complexity of technological resources over the last decade has brought a new and challenging perspective to issues surrounding TeLL practice worthy of further scrutiny.
