My name is Parita Ponsue and my nick name is Ploy. I am a student at Princess Chulabhorn’s College Mukdahan in science program since I have studied in mathayom 1 to mathayom 6. Have a several reasons that why I want to learn about medicine which is my dream job.
When I was young, about 3 years old, I fell down the stairs steel and have to treat at Ramathibodi Hospital in Bangkok. I have very few memories of the accident, doctor said my skull distorted, I have to get surgery. I was in the hospital for several weeks and that same paramedic came to visit me almost every day. During my stay, I also got to know the various doctors and nurses in the hospital. I remember feeling anxiety about my condition, but not sadness or fear. It seemed to me that those around me, particularly my family, were more fearful of what might happen to me than I was. I don’t believe it was innocence or ignorance, but rather a trust in the abilities of my doctors. My experience as a child sparked keen interest in the medicine profession. My educational inspiration is my parents. When I grow up, I want to treat my parents and provide affordable health care to marginalized communities in Thailand.
In short, I see the role of physicians in society, they are not only doctors who heal, they are also leaders, innovators, social scientists, and patriots. Although my path to medical school is not easy but I can assure you that no matter what obstacles I face, my goal will remain the same. I sincerely hope to begin the next phase of my journey at Srinakharinwirot University. Thank you for your kind attention.
