Pilates breathing (PB) - PB was performed
according to the recommendations of Menezes9
:
“Keep the neck and shoulders relaxed; Allow the
respiration to flow: do not hold your breath at any
point; Breathe through your nose without allowing
your shoulders to lift; Without stopping, breathe
out through your mouth with a sigh; Breathing out
through your teeth, with your lips pursed”. In addition
to deep breathing, the abdomen had to be kept pulled
in by active contraction of the TrA and pelvic floor
muscles4
.
