Fig. 2 illustrates that the absorption spectra of Myricetin,
Kaempferol and Quercetin over the range of 200–400 nm overlap
with each other. The effect of B–R buffer on the UV absorption
spectra of these flavonoids was studied by pH meter in the pH
range of 3.0–11.0. The results revealed that the pH changes had
no effect in resolving the overlapping problem of the flavonoids.
Therefore, classical spectrophotometric methods were not efficient
enough for simultaneous determination of the mentioned
flavonoids. In this study, CWT and LS-SVM signal processing techniques
have been coupled with spectrophotometric methods for
determination of the flavonoids content of the proposed plant
materials.
