Environmental sustainability
It is defined as the ability of the environment to continue to function properly and indefinitely. This involves meeting the present needs of humans without endangering the welfare of future generations.
The goal of environmental sustainability is to minimize the environmental degradation and to stop and reverse the processes they lead to.
Waste Disposal in day-to-day Work in an Industry
1) Each waste material should have separate bin
2) Waste material name should be written on the bin
3) Dispose of the waste before the bin gets full
4) Food waste should be disposed of daily
5) Hazardous waste should be disposed of as per company procedure or as per MSDS
6) Harmful emissions from the process plants, equipments and machineries should be minimum as per statutory or legal requirements
7) No damage should be done to the vegetation and land around
