The kilns were constructed as a battery inside the shed, built with mangrove pole structures and a thatched roof from nipa palm. In the Yeesarn area, 8 charcoal makers were found and still active in 2010. But in total about 300 households out of the 716 households [in the Yassern area] were growing R. apiculata. They were the main suppliers of raw materials for these 8 charcoal makers.
