H. contortus was the only nematode
parasite found in the abomasum of all
animals. Statistical analysis of the H.
contortus counts showed that there were
less worms in the Neem group (1004),
compared with the Control group (3242),
which was highly significantly different
(p=0.003). In the small intestine and large
intestine, the species of worms recorded
were only Trichostrongylus spp. and
Oesophagostomum spp. respectively.
