• Considerable part of children (40% girls and 37% boys) do not get pocket
money. Parents or caregivers give their daughters’ and sons’ not big amount of money whey they want to. It is better for children (7-10 years old), because often all their money are spent in the week that they get it, but on the other hand getting money teach them manage expenses.
• One fifth girls and one fourth boys get pocket money every day for food or knick-knacks.
• 10% girls and almost twice as many boys- 19% get money once a week
• 30% boys and only 19% girls get pocket money once a month, nevertheless in my opinion small children should not get much money so rarely, because they can spend a big sum of money on not useful things

• Young people do not get much- half of girls and 29% boys get 10-30 zlotys.
• 33% girls and 43% boys get 30-60 zlotys
• 17% girls and 14% boys get from parents 60-80 zlotys
• None of girls and boys get 80-100 zlotys
• As much as 14 % boys get more than 100 zlotys
• 28% girls and 30% boys spend their pocket money on newspapers, usually they buy colorful periodicals, and because of their young age children do not read them at all, just look through and examine pictures.
• 14% young girls buy cosmetics, especially protective lipsticks -the most frequent
• Nearly half of boys and 29% girls let rip money on sweets, chocolate, crisps
and fizzy drinks
• 29% girls allocate money for clothes and shoes
• Only 10% boys buy toys, teddy bears or cars on batteries
