For analysis of EGCG content and residual caffeine in tablet, LLE and SPE were carried out as described. Aliquots of 0.5 mL of decaffeinated tablet extract were spiked with GA as an IS to a final concentration of 3.00 μg/band. Development and scanning were carried out as described above. The concentration of the IS and residual caffeine were determined from the corresponding calibration curves. The recovery % for GA internal standard was then determined and compared to previously calculated values from the calibration curve. The EGCG concentration in samples was calculated and expressed as gallic acid equivalents (GAE).
