The obtained electrodes were put into the dye solution (5×10-4 M in an ethanol solution of cisbis(
2,2’-bipyridyl-4,4’-dicarboxylato)-ruthenium(II)-bistetra-butylammonium) for 1 h. The
counterelectrode were prepared by spreading H2PtCl6 in acetone solution on FTO and heating at
550oC for 1 h. Finally, the photoelectrode and counterelectrode were assembled into DSSC using
parafilm sheet as a spacer and some electrolyte, 0.03 M I2, 0.3 M LiI, DMPII in acetonitrile was
added between both electrolytes.
Photovoltaic characteristics were measured under illumination of simulated sunlight coming
from a solar simulator with the radiant power of 100 mW/cm2 (Xenon lamp with AM1.5 filter). The
photocurrent–voltage was measured with a voltage–current source which was interfaced and
controlled by a computer. The electrical properties were measured with electrochemical impedance
spectroscope (EIS) in frequency range from 10 kHz to 1 Hz. The EIS was measured under
illumination with forward bias of Voc and under dark with reward bias of Voc. The EIS parameters
were investigated using Z-view software under general equivalent circuits as described at elsewhere
reports.
