Patulin degradation by culture supernatant and intracellular protein of
Rhodosporidium paludigenum. Patulin at a concentration of 3 mg/l was incubated at
25 ?C for 24 h with uninoculated growth medium (Control), supernatant from yeast
culture grown without patulin (S) and grown with 10 l g/l patulin (S-pat),
intracellular protein extracted from R. paludigenum grown without patulin (I) and
grown with 10 l g/l patulin (I-pat). The pre-incubation with patulin for S-pat and I-pat lasted for 48 h. Bars indicate standard deviation. Values of the columns with ‘ ⁄ ’
are statistical different from the control (P < 0.05) by Duncan’s multiple range test.
