Based on ANOVA, the “F-value” for the overall regression model (60.27) is significant at the 5% level. Based on the full factorial design, the optimum levels of following parameters such as 100% moisture, 0.1% fructose, 0.1% yeast extract, 0.5% ammonium sulphate and pH 8.0 increased the amylase yield, and hence these parameter levels were maintained for further optimization with CCD. A CCD was developed to understand the interactions among most significant independent variables (moisture, fructose and ammonium sulphate) and their effect on amylase production.
