REGE LUDWIG
Rege Ludwig is an international polo instructor who has coached high goal polo players such as Memo and Carlos Gracida, Clemente and Julio Zavaleta, Sebastian Merlos, Julio Arellano, and Andre Weiss. Rege Ludwig’s teaching career began in 1983 when he was contacted by the United States Polo Training Foundation to conduct the Virginia Polo Clinic at the University of Virginia. Rege Ludwig coached the 26-goal Isla Carroll Team (Memo and Carlos Gracida, John Goodman) to victory in the 1999 Gold Cup Tournament in West Palm Beach, Florida. In 1998 he was the coach of the U.S. Team which competed in the F.I.P. World Championship Tournament in Santa Barbara, California. Rege Ludwig’s polo clinics offer a great introduction to polo as well as a refresher course for experienced players. For many years, Rege Ludwig has operated primarily out of the Eldorado Polo Club located near Palm Springs, California and run the annual Virginia Polo Clinic during the month of June. It is exciting to know that Rege’s future training credits will include his work with Thai Polo & Equestrian Club.
