Chapter 4 - Findings
Your findings and analysis reports exactly what you found, so inevitably, is
largely descriptive, and I don't have any specific comments about them.
Drawing attention to major findings within each table works well.
Why do the frequency totals vary by table? Table 4.8 says 285, Table 4.9
says 535, Table 4.11 says 718. Is this because in table 4.11, for example,
respondents were able to give more than one answer to the statement?
Have you thought about a summary of key findings? What were the most
interesting things that you found out? Were there any surprises? At the
moment, the reader doesn't know.
Chapter 5 - Discussion
Do you actually need a separate chapter of just 960 words for discussion?
Might you be able to include the discussion part (citing the reference) in
the appropriate part of chapter 4? That would enable the reader to see
immediately how your findings and the literature relate.
Your discussion at the moment reads partly like "conclusions" because you
relate it to your research questions, and partly "discussion" because you
refer to the literature.
If you still feel that a separate chapter 5 Discussion is best, I suggest
you consider how it can be expanded and many more references cited.
Finally, I note the word count is 18,000. The maximum allowed is 16,500, so
look at this carefully.
