16. Considering this hotel is SUPPOSED to be a 5 star Hotel, there was no iron available in the room and there wasn’t even an ironing room or one to borrow from reception (creased clothes all holiday ).
17. (See photo’s) After the stress of my son being trapped in his bed on the first night, I managed to talk him round to sleeping in it on the second night. He went to get in the bed and banged both his shins on what can only be described as very dangerous metal work which is part of the bed frame. Over the next few days his legs bruised, (See photo’s)
18. (See photo’s) On venturing out onto the balcony, to look at the scenery, I put my right hand on the safety rail and I realized it was not only made out of plastic but was very loose with the concrete coming away from the wall. Needless to say, me and my family never went out onto the balcony again as we were on the seventh floor and an accident would have proved fatal. (informed reception , they didn't understand)
19. At least four/five times a day, you are hounded by photographic staff, who work for the hotel to ask to take photo’s of your child. We agreed the first time as we thought it would be nice for our son. We were then bombarded daily and even woken up, on occasion to ask if they could take more photo’s of him. On checking out, we thought we would have a look at the photo’s, as we were informed on the last day, they were for sale. In my opinion, another big money spinner as they were trying to charge 12 euros per photo, which when you take into account, they try to make you buy over 50.
20. We phoned reception to collect our bags from the room and they informed us that a porter would be there in 15 minutes. I said that would be fine as we were being picked up in an hour. 15 minutes came and went and it then got to 35 minutes. We phoned reception again who reassured us the porter was on his way up. A further 25 minutes went by, when we made the decision to struggle the three suitcases, three hand luggage and one push chair, (once again), down to reception.
21. For a supposed 5* hotel, the décor and general upkeep of the room was terrible. Marks all over the walls, ripped wallpaper, ripped and dangerous bed, crumbs on the floor, coffee table chipped, balcony a death trap, shower flooding, broken kettles, no tea/coffee, etc, etc. The list goes on.
22. We booked private tranfer's to and from the hotel . When getting out of the airport it was a ridiculously long walk to the private taxi , with no signs to let us know where we were supposed to walk, which defeated the whole point of booking the private transfer for ease .
