The collaborations detailed above were formed between the relevant
academic staff member for each course and the librarians. No direct
collaboration took place between the academics for the two courses, but
the experience gained within the postgraduate course was useful when
applied in the process of AIL integration into the undergraduate course
curriculum. In this sense, the librarians were the key professionals as
they operated across the collaborations, were the repository of lessons
learned in both courses, and were able to serve as a bridge towards
shared knowledge and experience. In addition, the contribution, support
and expertise of the learning adviser who joined the POPLHLTH
202 AIL project team helped to create targeted academic writing related
assessment activities.
