It seems that fatigue, especially after heavy exercise,
might affect RT due to induced physiological changes such
as a decrease in acetylcholine, potassium, adenosine-
triphosphate (ATP) and phosphocreatine levels and also an
increase in lactate level of muscles (Powers and Lawler,
1998). Therefore, it is expected that when a subject is
fatigued, because of the physiologic changes, RT may be
slower than usual (Ozyemisci-Taskiran et al., 2008). In the
present study, participants were fatigued after cycling.
