Kroger reopened six of seven former Hiller’s Market locations on Wednesday as the grocery chain continues to invest $150 million in Michigan stores.
The stores in South Lyon, Commerce Township, Northville Township, West Bloomfield and Ann Arbor opened their doors at 8 a.m. A seventh store in downtown Northville is still undergoing renovations and is scheduled to reopen this fall.
The new stores will be open from 6 a.m.-midnight daily. Many former Hiller’s associates are now employed by Kroger, the company said.
“Kroger is proud to continue the Hiller’s Market legacy for fresh,” said Jayne Homco, president of the Kroger Co. of Michigan. “We are also pleased to be able to retain many former Hiller’s associates and all Hiller’s store managers, which has helped us transition the stores and select products that will appeal to local customers
