1st part: presentation of Damrongratsongkroh school:
History of the school:
Just before moving to the present address, the school first opened as a girl’s school named Bamrungkoomary. Damrongratsongkroh school moved to its present place on may the 17th 1943 as a pre-primary school. From 1946 to 1948, the school became a training teacher’s school for the province. From 1948 to 1951, the school terminated the primary program and changed to a matthayomsuksa (secondary level) school. In 1969, the school got the authorization and approval to start pre-university education program for science studies. It became the first co-educational school of Chiang Rai province. From 1971 to 1973, the school provided the education for lower level of Matthayom 1-2-3 as well as the upper level of Matthayom 4 and 5. In 1978, the school finally achieved to provide the complete Matthayom curriculum for lower level Matthayom 1-2-3 to upper level Matthayom 4-5-6.
At present, the school opens classes from Matthayom 1 to Matthayom 6. The Matthayom 1 to Matthayom 6 level all count 12 classes for a total of 72 classes, and an approximate total of 2,981 students, 130 teachers, 17 employees, 2 government employees and 42 part time employees
The vision of the school is to be a leader in improving student’s education, by providing international quality standards, bringing good morality, ethics and desirable values based on Thai traditions and philosophy as well as sufficiency economy under a quality management.
