3.2. Apparent digestibility coefficient
The apparent digestibility coefficient (ADC) of dietary dry matter (ADCd), protein (ADCp) and energy (ADCe) for juvenile blunt snout bream fed with different experimental diets is shown in Table 3. The ADCd was significantly lower in the group fed with the cellulose diet (49.2%) compared with other groups. Fish fed with the glucose (64.1%) or dextrin diet (64.0%) showed significantly higher ADCd compared to those fed with the wheat starch (60.1%) or cellulose diet (49.2%). ADCp was independent of dietary carbohydrate source. The highest ADCe were observed in fish fed with the glucose (80.0%), maltose (79.1%) or dextrin (79.6%) diet, followed by wheat starch (76.4%) or corn starch (76.3%) diet, and the lowest ADCe was observed in the group fed with dietary cellulose (56.2%).
