2.0 g/100 mL concentration of the essential oil had antimicrobial effects against Gram (þ) bacteria tested and S. cerevisiae but not against all Gram () bacteria tested as well as C. albicans.
Essential oils at a concentration of 0.2 or 0.5 g/100 mL were inactive.
The essential oil concentration of 1 g/100 mL was only active against B. subtilis var. niger. B. subtilis var. niger was the most sensitive microorganism to the 2.0 g/100 mL essential oil concentration.
Grams (þ) bacteria are more sensitive to S. pisidica essential oil than Gram () bacteria tested.
