The present work demonstrated the feasibility of using TPP for the extraction of AP from A.paniculata. The TPP system that resulted in highest yield of AP comprised of 1:1 slurry to t-butanol ratio,40% ammonium sulfate,120 min time ,pH 7 at 40 °C. Maximum yield of AP obtained was 26.55 mg/g. Considering the yield of soxhlet extraction to be 100%, TPP gave 62.5% yield in 120 min whereas batch extraction showed 59.89% yield in 140 min. Thus, TPP appears to be a fascinating technique for the extraction of biomolecules from natural sources with its advantages like lower extraction time and lesser solvent consumption over conventional extraction methods.
