Mobile technology has the potential to enhance
people’s lives in India in many ways. Mobile learning (Mlearning)
is an extension of e-learning. There are various
classifications of M-learning applications. The classification done
by Deegan and Rothwell (2010) in five categories covers all the
applications in education scenario. We used basic TAM model
and extended it by applying these five categories as external
variables. In this pilot study, we studied the acceptance of Mlearning
by using extended TAM model for university students in
India. The study provides a theoretical research framework
which addresses the value of mobile learning acceptance in the
higher education environment. The focus is on how university
students perceive it and to determine the factors responsible for
such perceptions.
