The aesthetics and plastic surgery, as an emerging industry, is also growing fast in Brazil and Korea, contributing 2 to 3% to the national GDP annually. In US, Japan and Korea, the proportion is twice of that of China.
The global trend even shows more stunning development. Taking US as an example, nearly 10.7 billion was spent on aesthetics and plastic surgery in 2010, amongst, 62% was contributed by surgery, 18% was injection type, 16% was skin care, and 4% belonged to other types. While, cosmetic surgery accounted for 17% of plastic and aesthetics treatment, being increased by 71% each year. As to non-surgical related cosmetic treatment, it occupied 83%, ascending at a speed of 228% annually. According to the latest forecast of Frost&Sullivan, in 2016, the sales income of global plastic and aesthetics equipment will reach 4.9 billion US dollars.
While in China, the growth rate of cosmetic surgery is around 100% annually. Based on incomplete study, currently, there are nearly 3 million people who have accepted plastic and aesthetics surgery.
