A. Lock. All locks used for these Lockout / Tagout Procedures shall be painted red to
designate them for energy isolating purposes. These locks shall not be used for any
purpose other than energy isolation.
B. Tags. Tags for these Lockout / Tagout Procedures shall be purchased/ printed.




5.2.3 Identifying. The tags shall identify the employee(s) applying or authorizing the
application of the energy isolating device.
