After spending many hours traversing Bangkok, Hannah uses the inspiration and interaction to recreate parts of the journey through art. Her works reflect the ideas of her place in her surroundings and state of mind specific to her life in Bangkok.
The artist is trying to experiment with how our psyche reacts to “psychogeography”, an architectural theory about understanding our place in space and time through orientation; how we familiarise ourselves with new surroundings; and how we can be present in reality while our mind is very far away from it.
Theodorou studied architecture at Greenwich University and has been drawing and painting since she was a child. She travelled in Asia for the last few years and exhibited her work in group shows in Europe and Asia.
Brownstone Studios is on Sukhumvit 77 and opens daily from 10am to 10pm.
