Potato-dextrose agar (PDA) was prepared, sterilized at 121 °C for 15 min, and 10 mL were poured into Petri dishes (60 × 15 mm). B. cinerea was obtained from the culture collection of the Universidad de las Américas Food Microbiology Laboratory. The mold was maintained in PDA slants at 25 °C for 10 days.
