Herald checked his watch again. 10:00 pm. Just over 20 minutes since he was nearly murdered by Weiss and, like the fool he was, he was actually trying to search for her now. He was searching for her in an old storage section of the school when he thought he could see light coming out from under on of the doors. Upon closer inspection he heard the beginning of a song's music play and looked through an opening left by the not fully closed door to see in. Weiss was standing there, and she was singing.
*Mirror....tell me something*
*Tell me who's the loneliest of all*
Herald couldn't believe she sang this well. It was entrancing him so he listened.
*Mirror tell me something*
*Tell me who's the loneliest of all*
*Fear of what's inside me*
*Tell me can a heart be turned to stone*
Her voice was incredible, Herald dare not speak unless he interrupt her beautiful melody. As the music seemed to begin speeding up Herald realized that this was her way of releasing her troubles. Through this song she spilled heartache and depression out onto the open world from her very being. He wanted her to stop now, so he could help her but he decided to see what she would do next before being rash and jumping in head first.
*Mirror mirror what's behind you?*
*Save me from the things I see*
*I can keep it from the world why won't you let me hide from me?*
*Mirror, Mirror, tell me something*
*Who's the loneliest of All?*
*I'm the loneliest of....All.....*
Herald saw Weiss practically slump into her chair and heard her start crying. He opened the door slowly and walked in carefully, giving her a light clap the whole time. Weiss turned in shock when she heard him clapping and tried to cover her face so he wouldn't see her tears.
"Weiss, that was....amazing. I didn't realize how beautiful your voice was." Herald smiled lightly. Sure she had almost murdered him on the roof not an hour ago but for some reason he couldn't find it to be mad at her. It might have been the fact that she was almost right to do so or it might have been the feeling that he knew to be dwelling inside him.
"Herald...get away from me. I don't want to see or hear you!" Weiss moved out of her chair and held her hand up defensively.
"Weiss. Just let me talk-" Herald was pushed back and Weiss continued to keep distance between them.
"No! I don't want to hear it! You killed someone important to me and you destroyed a crucial part of my family's company!" Weiss went to punch Herald but he grabbed her wrist before she could. She struggled under his grasp but it was pointless as he held firm. She tried to wiggle out of it but before she was able to fully leave his hold She felt something warm against her lips. It was a shocking sensation to her and before she could recollect herself or even recognize the real feeling it was gone and she saw Herald part from her.
"Weiss, please, I don't want to hear you yell and scream at me. All this time I felt nothing but hatred towards the Schnee dust company for what they did to me and when I came here to Beacon I tried to control that hatred telling myself that after your Grandfather's death I had no more problems with the SDC. I came to Beacon hoping to get away from it all and I practically did but when I met Ruby and she told me you were her teammate I knew I wouldn't leave my past behind. Then I saw you and that small hate I had flushed itself away. All I saw in you was a strange beauty that I couldn't describe. I wanted to give myself the time to control it and after what happened on the roof earlier I thought it was over. Please, I don't want to have done this in vain, I don't want you to hate me, I never laid a hand on your grandfather I left that compound once I realized that I would be destroying a life just like mine. They continued it not me. I couldn't do it." Herald began to sob and left the grip of Weiss' hand. Weiss stood there in shock trying to feel that very same sensation of Herald's lips on hers while also trying to hear what he was saying.
"H-Herald. Is all of this really what you're saying? You aren't just trying to make up something to get on my good side?" Weiss tried to keep a hard tone but it wavered.
"Of course not. If I tell someone that I loved them I mean it with every ounce of my being. I can't be that rude to someone." Herald fell to his knees and sobbed. It was pitiful, Weiss argued in her head, And he had been with the same organization that murdered so many of her family and friends but there was a voice in her head telling her to give him slack. That he wasn't responsible for her problems and if anything it was her family responsible for his suffering.
"Herald. You aren't yet deserving for forgiveness. You have a lot to make up for and. I'm angered by your participation with the White Fang." Weiss put up a cold front and Herald's heart cracked hearing it. "But, I will give into the thought of sometime considering what you've told me. I need time to decide how I feel fully because I have conflicting thoughts at the moment." Herald's ear flew up and his eyes went wide.
"Thank you Weiss. I promise you that I had nothing to do with anything in the past and I will try my hardest to make things right for you." Herald beamed. He grabbed Weiss' hand and brought her close for a hug. She accepted it but backed away soon after the embrace.
"Don't confuse this with automatic forgiveness though. I'll promise to keep everything you've said between us as long as you give me your word that you've changed and will not associate with the White Fang." Weiss walked past Herald who turned to watch her walk out of the room back towards the entrance.
"I promise you, Weiss, Though I don't know how long I can keep it." Herald said to himself and took a seat in the chair still left in the room. An incoming message tone beeped from his tablet and he opened it up to see one new message. Opening his messages he saw it had come from an outside source unknown to the tablet's data. the message simply read 'Don't fail me' And Herald closed it back up and sat thinking about what might happen in the future.

Weiss climbed into her bed fully dressed in her pajamas and debated the idea of forgiving Herald. On the one hand he was a member of a ruthless organization of violent Faunus bent on hurting the SDC and the rest of humanity. But then again so was Blake and they seemed to be on good terms now. Then on the other hand was Herald's confession and Weiss' own mixed feelings. She rested on her side and settled for figuring it out in the morning before drifting into uncomfortable sleep.
