Levi Strauss, a native German, was followed the gold rush to California in the mid-19th century. In 1853, he founded the Levi Strauss & Co. It was wholesale business and sold fabrics goods. When denim was discovered later, Strauss made pants from it, and dyed his jeans with indigo. Levis 501 carried on its history through many world events for example for the gold miners, US forces during world war, workers, musicians and actors. From 1960s and Levi’s 501, became the most worn jeans in the world.
