Defining Development Objectives and Action Steps
Employee visits the myCORE Leadership Competency Framework resource page to learn about Core Lab’s leadership competency framework and the requirements for his/her Leadership Level.
Information learned from reviewing the myCORE Leadership Competency Framework resource page ties with the SWOT template exercise to help determine competency areas to focus on for development.
Manager provides feedback and coaching on strengths and development needs.
Together, the Manager and the Employee review the Putting Your Plan Into Action guide and the Course Overview by Leadership Level matrix to assist them in the development of Objectives and Action Steps for the employee to include on the Development Plan.

Creating Your Development Plan Online
Utilizing the Creating Your Online Plan guide and the How to Create Your Development Plan online learning, the:
Employee adds the agreed Objectives and Action Steps to the online plan.
Manager reviews and approves the plan.

Taking Action and Making Updates
Employee begins the action as outlined on the plan and records progress online. This plan should grow and change with the employee as he/she continues the career with Core Lab.
Manager and Employee regularly review the status of the Employee’s progress on the Development Plan.
