The Expressway and Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (ETA) : First Stage Expressway Extension : 1996-1997
AMP Consultants Ltd provided consultancy services in transport engineering, traffic engineering, traffic signing and road marking. The Expressway and Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (ETA) appointed AMP Consultants Ltd with JMP Consultants Ltd., Upham International Corporation, Kraiwin Co., Ltd, The Environment Research Institute of Chulalongkorn University and the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University to review the ETA feasibility study, undertake an environmental impact assessment and to advise on contractor selection for the design and construction of an new elevated expressway. The proposed route was an extension from the First Stage Expressway System, Dao Kanong segment to Bang Khun Thien and Samut Sakhon. The aims of the project were to solve the traffic congestion problems in the area and also to extend the expressway network to better connect with the southern part of the country.
