observed for all three tested materials calculated by our peak-fittingmethod compared to peak height method. It is noteworthy thatthe Segal CrI difference between NCC and Avicel is very small (90%vs. 88%), while our method also showed a significant difference inCrI between NCC and Avicel, by 17%. This difference is partly dueto the sharp (2 0 0) peak of NCC which resulted from the highlyordered crystallite structure of NCC. In Avicel, the peak width wasdecreased without significantly increasing the I2 0 0 intensity. The higher peak intensity near 35◦in Avicel also contributed to the lower CrI compared to NCC.
