Combinations of antibody induced redistribution and double labeling experiments were
used for studying the relationship between different S.Ig molecules. When cells stained
In the cold by anti-Ig sera are incubated at 37#{176}C,a polar clustering of labeled S.Ig
(cap formation) occurs.2’ The cells submitted to this antibody induced redistribution
process were cooled at 0#{176}Cand stained again by antisera coupled to the opposite fluorochrome,
as previously described.22 This procedure is very useful for investigating the
molecular relationship of different cell surface determinants.22
