5. Conclusions
Biodegradation of municipal wastewater by a mixed bacterial culture of P. aeruginosa and B. Subtilis were
relatively better than biodegradation by a single bacterium. The mixed culture, however, it took longer time to
reach their maximum removal than SludgeHammer bacteria. This study suggests bioaugmentation of wastewater
treatment reactor with highly specialized strains can improve the treatment.
