The equation for the calibration line using peak area of the
atomic fluorescence signal was as follows: A ¼ 2158.62C þ 11.25,
with the relation coefficient of r2 ¼ 0.9995, where A is integrated absorbance and C is a Hg concentration (expressed as mg L1). The
limit of detection (LOD) was 0.002 mg L1. The precision expressed
as relative standard deviation for 11 measurements of 0.1 mg L1
(RSD, n ¼ 11) was 2.1%.
