Individual Presentation (Midterm Project) 20%
Presentations will take place in week 8 (September 28th – October 2nd)
Presentation of a tourist attraction in Thailand
The presentation should be between 4 - 6 minutes. The student’s job is to make the topic “come alive”. The talk should engage the audience and make them want to know more about their topic.
At the end of the presentation the teacher will ask further questions about the student’s presentation.
The teacher will give points for the presentation and, also for, how well he thinks the student answers his follow on questions.
Things to remember:
1. Engage your audience – make them smile – ask them a question
2. Make the stories “come to life” by finding a “personal angle” or a “human touch”
3. Be enthusiastic and passionate about your topic
4. Remember your speech (you don’t need notes) and look at your audience
5. Think about your audience
6. You can use your pictures on screen to help you remember
7. Use passionate words –example: amazing, magnificent, inspirational, broken hearted.
8. Think of what questions may be asked by the teacher at the end of the presentation
