GES: Working on 2015 results, preparing for a Pulse Check 2016
The Global Employee Survey (GES) 2015 provided our organization with valuable insights from across GfK on how employees feel about working at the company. This feedback is, and continues to be, fundmental to helping implement changes throughout our entire organization.
The GES 2015 results have been communicated to employees of all levels and global, regional and local teams have started to develop concrete actions and have identified focus areas they want to work on.
Based on the findings from last year’s survery, there are encouraging signs regarding the progress of our One GfK transformation and globally, employee engagement is stable. A huge percentage of colleagues around the world are aware of, and live, our revised GfK values and these are being embedded in the change initiatives being developed (you can read all global results on gNet by clicking here).
In order to build on all of this and ensure we continue to take the right steps towards improving our company, we will conduct a Pulse Check Survey in 2016. This will provide an update on where we are and at the same time will allow us to take an even deeper look into 2015’s findings, providing teams with more time to bring results into action.
What is a Pulse Check – and why is it being done?
The Pulse Check 2016 will contain fewer questions (approximately 15) than our GES 2015 approach and will survey a globally representative sample of around 1,500 randomly selected employees from across GfK.
Danja Frech, Global Head of HR:
“This lean approach will deliver valuable insights on where we stand with regards to employee engagement and transformation topics on a higher organizational level. It also increases our efficiency as it means we can better utilize our resources to focus on ongoing activities to foster employee engagement.”
The Pulse Check 2016 will run for 2 weeks in early October. The randomly selected paricipants will be invited by email and the global results will be available to all employees late November.
“Asking for employee feedback, analyzing the current work environment and measuring employee engagement will always remain important topics for GfK”, ensures Danja. “Within the global HR team the survey experts are using the additional time during 2016 to start thinking about the future concept of our GES and designing first ideas for the upcoming years.”
