Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has asked Ayutthaya people to be patient and to cooperate with the government’s integrated water management plan while visiting the flood-hit central province on Wednesday.
Gen Prayut, accompanied by Interior Minister Gen Anupong Paochinda, met affected villagers at a temple in Sena district in the afternoon and was briefed about the flood situation in the province.
Seven of Ayutthaya’s 16 districts have been inundated, with about 22,000 households and 120,000 rai of farmland affected by accelerated discharges from the Chao Phraya Dam since last month.
