Job Summary
Reporting to the Director Marine & Offshore and working closely with the Sales Manager/Director, the Applications Engineer will be responsible for responding to Customer enquiries for new equipment by selecting appropriate products to apply, determining size and cost, and advising customer verbally or in writing. Takes all necessary actions deemed appropriate in an effort to develop enquiries into firm orders.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:
Analyses and interprets customer enquiries to define the scope of a project and specify appropriate equipment for the application.
Develops cost estimate according to established guidelines by self and/or working with suppliers and purchasing.
Sets product pricing using mark-up and commission schedules established by management.
Writes, edits, and signs formal quotation and/or advise verbally to customer.
Follows up on any written or verbal correspondence with customer during quotation phase.
Travels to customer's facilities to discuss and negotiate proposal.
Determines drawings needed for quotation and coordinates their completion.
Performs other duties as may be assigned that are based on appropriate skills and experience.
To actively work towards maintaining and improving the Zeeco Quality system whilst adhering to the requirements of the ISO9001: 2008.
To ensure that the Company Health and Safety Policy is adhered to, actively promoting a safe working environment.

Competencies
Essential
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Marine preferred)
Previous experience of custom engineered combustion/oil and gas products is advantageous.
Good interpersonal skills

Must be willing to travel to fulfil the job and training, which could be for extended periods.

Must live within 1 hour commute of European Head Office in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
