variables on the juice yield. As shown in Table 3,
juice yield mainly depend on the extraction time as its linear
(p < 0.01) and quadratic effects (p < 0.05) were significant
giving an overall curvilinear effect (Fig. 1). Other
factors that contribute to the juice yield include the linear
effect (p < 0.001) of temperature and its interaction effect
(p < 0.05) with time (Table 3). The juice yield was linearly
related to the extraction temperature and the quadratic
term was found to be not significant, which resulted in
a linear increase in yield with temperature for all extraction
