A more detailed comparative analysis of the results showed that maize yields on Prosopis and neem soils were considerably higher and statistically different (P < 0.01) from those on control. Maize yields were also substantially higher on neem than on Prosopis and Eucalyptus soils (P < 0.01). Sorghum yields followed the same trend as maize, with yields on neem being substantially higher (P < 0.05) than those on control and Prosopis.
