After cooling, the extract was filtered, the volume was
adjusted to 500 mL with water, and the extract was
separated into two fractions of 250 mL. One fraction
was evaporated under reduced pressure to dryness to
obtain CE. The ethanol content of the second fraction
was removed under reduced pressure, its volume
was adjusted to 250 mL with water, and this aqueous
suspension was partitioned (3 x 100 mL) with n-BuOH,
yielding the n-BuOH (BF) and aqueous residual
fractions (ARF).
