E-waste is unwanted electronic products that people throw away. For example, most people
recycling their old mobile phone for a new one every 18 months. Many countries
throw away most of their e-waste in landfill. The USA throws away around 50 million tonnes of e-waste every year. Products that are sent to toxic can’t be used again. E-waste pollutes air, water, and land. It is landfill and can give people health problems. The European Union wants better trade of e-waste. In 2012, Europeans recycled 15% of their old mobile phones. Some companies send unwanted phones to developing countries.
